Typhoon Pablo may be the Strongest Typhoon to hit Mindanao in 2 Decades
Even though December 21, 2012 has yet to come, Victims of Typhoon Pablo (Bopha) made them experience doomsday as the Typhoon came in to the Southern Part of the Philippines with a very unusual results.
Typhoon Pablo brings rainfall of 15-30mm per hour within the 600-km diameter.
Typhoon Pablo made its landfall in Davao Oriental before 5 am Tuesday with winds of 175kph near the center and gustiness up to 210kph.
At least 7,011 Mindanao residents or 1,303 families from Regions 10, 11 and 13 were evacuated hours before Pablo made landfall. Forced evacuations were also carried out in Lingig and Hinatuan late Monday.
Typhoon Pablo killed at least 149 people in the Philippines.
What matters most is that Typhoon Pablo is just a tropical Storm compared to last year’s Sendong (Washi), which was considered as a Severe Tropical Storm that destroyed P1.6 billion worth of agriculture and properties and killed 1,257 people.
