India's Mr Universe turns 100 and still kicking
I just saw this article from Yahoo News and I was shocked that there is a 100-year-old body builder, or should I say, the Mr Universe of India still got it.
He overcame some obstacles, which include poverty and being jailed. He joined the Royal Air Force in 1940 and worked out. He was jailed when he tried to protest colonial oppression and began weight training effectively.
He won a Mr Hercules contest and decided to compete in Mr Universe in London where he also won in 1952. He also competed in several championships, including Asian Bodybuilding Championship.
